“Hayordiner” second pan-national scout camp held by “Haik’s Generation” organization took place on August 9-14 in Shoushi. Members of the AGBU Yerevan Scout Movement were also invited to participate in the camp. The delegation of the AGBU Yerevan Scouts comprised of Vice-Chairman of the Scout Council Edward Der Kassbarian, Secretary Satenik Eloyan, Group Leader Gevork Simonian, Troupe Leader Ararat Azatian and Patrol Leader Mary Sahakian, arrived at the campsite on August 9th to help build the camp tower and mast, organize scout activities and share their knowledge and skills with “Hayordiner”, which, being a newly-established camp, lacks experience and needs support. Scouts from Tehran, Russia and different NGOs also participated in “Hayordiner”. On August 12th, the scouts went on a sightseeing trip of Stepanakert, Gandzasar, Vank village and other historical monuments and interesting venues. The traditional fire and closing ceremony took place on August 13th with the participation of the Mayor of Shoushi, a spiritual leader, a representative of the NKR defense ministry, other officials and guests. During the closing ceremony the AGBU Yerevan Scouts received a medal and a letter of gratitude for their active participation and support. The AGBU Yerevan Scouts in their turn handed out souvenirs to the hosts and expressed readiness to continue their support and cooperation with the scouts of Artsakh. With unforgettable memories and impressions the delegation returned to Yerevan on August 14th.
