The AGBU Armenian Virtual College (AVC) recently celebrated the third anniversary of its operation through an online global forum and its first virtual graduation ceremony. AVC is the only Armenian online higher education institute. The event summed up the three years of achievements and introduced the upcoming developments and expansions in the program. Current students and valedictorians shared their experience with the audience virtually and in person. During the three years of its operation AVC has served over 2,000 students from 63 countries, spread from Georgia to China, from Sweden to South Africa and from Argentina to Canada. |

Every year, the Armenian Chess Federation and the Republic of Armenia’s Education and Science Ministry, hold the Republican Interschool Chess Tournament sponsored by AGBU. On October 17th, delegates and guests of the AGBU 87th General Assembly, headed by AGBU President Berge Setrakian and accompanied by the AGBU Yerevan Scouts, visited the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex to pay tribute to victims of the Armenian Genocide. AGBU President Berge Setrakian laid a wreath at the Armenian Genocide memorial, after which members of the delegation placed flowers at the Eternal Flame and honored the memory of the innocent victims with a moment of silence. |
