It’s already 10 years that thousands of AGBU boy and girl scouts make their dream come true by arriving in Armenia to spend their summer in the Homeland, at the AGBU Antranik scout camp. AGBU YEREVAN SCOUTS CELEBRATED 110TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE UNION

On April 15, AGBU various structures all over the world celebrated the 110th anniversary of the Union. The AGBU Yerevan scouts came up with their own initiative. Accompanied by the AGBU Yerevan Scout Movement’s marching band the scouts headed to the Benefactors’ Alley in Yerevan’s Circular Park and laid wreaths at the busts of the AGBU presidents. VISIT TO TSITSERNAKABERD AND CANDLE-LIGHT VIGIL TO HONOR THE VICTIMS OF THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE (VIDEO MATERIAL)

This year marks the 101st anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. AGBU Armenia members, friends and staff visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial on April 24 to honor the victims of the Armenian Genocide. Prior to that, on April 21, AGBU Armenia scouts organized a candle-light vigil at the Swan Lake in the center of Yerevan to honor the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide. AGBU YEREVAN SCOUTS HELPING FAMILIES IN NEED IN GYUMRI

One of the principles of Armenian scouts states: a scout always helps others. Bearing this in mind, AGBU Yerevan scouts regularly organize charity visits to Gyumri to help local families in need. The cold winter and upcoming Christmas holidays were another occasion for the scouts to initiate such a visit to Armenia’s second largest city.
