"THE SONG OF A REFUGEE" PERFORMANCE

“The Song of a Refugee” is a musical performance of Armenian national songs. It is not only about geographical migration, but also about loss and longing for the homeland.

This performance was inspired by Heriqnaz Galstyan’s sculptural work, “Horovel”. The site-specific performance combines and erases the border between space, musician and dancer. At the end of the performance, Heriqnaz Galstyan’s artwork will be presented to the audience.

Sunday, June 17, 17:00 and 20:00
AGBU Armenia Gallery Space (2/2 Melik-Adamyan str.)

We kindly ask that guests arrive 15 minutes before the start of each viewing.

“LA STRUCTURE EST POURRIE, CAMARADE” THE EXHIBITION

AGBU Exhibitions invites you to the opening of the exhibition “La Structure est Pourrie, Camarade” (The Structure is Rotten, Comrade). The exhibit takes a look at the process, story, and symbolism of Viken Berberian’s recently published graphic novel, illustrated by Yann Kebbi. Explosive colors, unconventional graphic layout, and tragic humor have gained the novel critical acclaim by the French press like Le Monde, Beaux Arts, and France Culture as well as a special event last June at the Centre Pompidou in Paris.

Learn how Viken and Yann create this novel over the course of five-years and across multiple cities from Yerevan, to Paris, to Montreal, and Moscow. The exhibit features behind the scenes content, extracts from the novel, as well as a film short by Gariné Torossian.

Opening ceremony will take place:

Thursday, May 31, at 18:00
AGBU Ground Floor Gallery (2/2 Melik-Adamyan str.)

The exhibition will last till June 15, 2018.
