AGBU 87TH GENERAL ASSEMBLY DELEGATES AND GUESTS VISIT TSITSERNAKABERD

On October 17th, delegates and guests of the AGBU 87th General Assembly, headed by AGBU President Berge Setrakian and accompanied by the AGBU Yerevan Scouts, visited the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex to pay tribute to victims of the Armenian Genocide. AGBU President Berge Setrakian laid a wreath at the Armenian Genocide memorial, after which members of the delegation placed flowers at the Eternal Flame and honored the memory of the innocent victims with a moment of silence. After saying the Lord’s Prayer at the Eternal Flame delegates visited the Armenian Genocide Museum and became acquainted with the items showcased at the “Book as A Witness of the Genocide”, a temporary exhibition dedicated to the 500th anniversary of Armenian printing and UNESCO's proclamation of Yerevan as World Book Capital 2012. Delegates wrote personal messages in the Commemoration Book. Delegates visited the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Park, where President Setrakian and Director of the Genocide Museum-Institute Hayk Demoyan watered the AGBU pine tree planted years ago.
