VASKENIAN THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY

Established in 1993, the Vaskenian Theological Seminary, named in honor of the late Vasken I, Catholicos of All Armenians, of blessed memory, received a major grant from an AGBU donor for the construction of a 100-student dormitory and private chapel on the grounds of the Lake Sevan property. The new dormitory includes staff rooms, offices, a library and student quarters; construction was completed in late 2002. To date, the Vaskenian Seminary has graduated some 120 deacons and priests. Graduates are currently assigned to a number of parishes, while some serve as army chaplains or hold administrative positions at Holy Etchmiadzin.
