CONCERT DEDICATED TO THE 70TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ADOPTION OF THE CONVENTION ON PREVENTION & PUNISHMENT OF THE CRIME OF GENOCIDE

With a series of events worldwide AGBU stands with the UN to mark the International Day of Genocide Commemoration and Prevention on December 9.

On this occasion, AGBU sponsors a concert of Dvořák’s “Requiem” performed by the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra, Armenian National Academic Choir and renowned international soloists at Aram Khachaturyan Concert Hall in Yerevan.

AGBU Exhibitions presents “Movement”, a solo show of watercolor works by Peto Poghosyan. The exhibition features 22 works that examine the recent tension, movements, and protests of the past decade all the way up to the May 2018 “Velvet Revolution”. 

“Movement is the process of connecting one point to another with intensity. These points of sensitive tension are urban spaces where memory, struggle, and emotion search for connectivity from one corner of the city to another. Movement is the result of resistance. Movement is a critical factor for change and it is never ending…”

AGBU Armenia, ICOM Armenia and Museum Association invite you to be a part of a major event entitled “Museum Week: Rethinking the Cultural Spaces”, that will be held from 8th to 14th of November, 2018 in different locations throughout Yerevan. Museum Week aims to provide a special platform for the construction of cooperation links
amongst museums and other sectors like tourism, IT, and business development.

The Public Forum will provide a unique platform with six different topics catered to professionals from museums as well as the IT, Corporate, Education, Social, and Tourism fields. Through presentations by international experts, participants have an opportunity to discuss obstacles and challenges to development, in order to find constructive solutions that bridge know-how from different sectors.

Join us for two full days of inspiring presentations and moderated panel discussions with international experts addressing the art market from different perspectives. The conference investigates how to lay the infrastructural groundwork for an art market in Armenia and how to improve access to the global art market by sharing practical global know-how.
