AGBU VATCHE AND TAMAR MANOUKIAN SCHOOL STUDENTS VISITED MEMORIAL COMPLEX OF SARDARAPAT BATTLE AND NATIONAL MUSEUM OF ARMENIAN ETHNOGRAPHY AND HISTORY OF LIBERAL STRUGGLE

The students of AGBU Vatche and Tamar Manoukian school of Pasadena visited Armenia during the days of May heroic battles centennial celebration. Accompanied by teachers Lora Kuyumjian, and Maida Akrabian, and AGBU Diaspora Youth Programs Coordinator Hermine Duzian, on May 31 the group also visited Sardarapat Battle Memorial Complex and National Museum of Armenian Ethnography and History of Liberal struggle, having their input in the accomplishment of the museum’s mission.

This year on the occasion of Sardarapat Battle centennial, the donation of AGBU Vatche and Tamar Manoukian school students was directed to the museum. The new souvenir booth and the gallery dedicated to Sardarapat battle has been constructed and furnished thanks to the donation of the students. The souvenir booth has been already replenished with the collection of souvenirs with Sardarapat battle heroes’ and museum ethnographic exhibits images. The works to improve the quality of the visitors' service in the lobby of the museum were underway.

The patriotic spirit of Vatche and Tamar Manoukian school students and directorate will keep the memory of Sardarapat heroes alive in the hearts of young generations.
