ANNOUNCEMENT FOR GENERAL ANALYST INTERN

TITLE: General Analyst Intern

DURATION: 3 months with possible extension for another 3-month period

Armenia, Yerevan

OVERVIEW:
With its Internship Program, Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) Armenia opens its doors to graduate students making them part of its team and providing opportunities to gain valuable work experience, apply their knowledge in practice, while broadening the horizons, exploring different fields of work and developing professional network. No prior experience is required.

In the course of internship, the intern will learn how to structure complex problems, set up analytical frameworks, collect and analyse data, provide recommendations. He/she will have the opportunity to work with an experienced strategy consultant and will be exposed to a professional, demanding and result oriented working environment. When time allows and if relevant, the intern will participate in various capacity building workshops, attend cultural events and become part of the global AGBU community.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop hypothesis and structure complex issues
• Conduct interviews, consult databases, public sources to gather data and organize them in a structured manner
• Check validity of data, complement, make linkages among different sources and report findings
• Conduct analysis and develop recommendations
• Contribute to strategy development and overall strategic thinking
• Develop succinct written documents & presentations
• Develop business cases

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s degree or graduate student in Business or in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics)
• Knowledge & experience in research & analysis
• Excellent problem structuring and solving abilities, exceptional communication skills, strong quantitative skills, and personal maturity
• Excellent computer knowledge with command on MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
• Self-starter with an ability to work in a team and contribute to the team’s results
• Good command of English and Armenian, knowledge of Russian is an advantage

TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Under the supervision of AGBU Armenia Outreach Director the intern is expected to work a fixed schedule of 16 hours per week, at least 3 days a week. The internship is unpaid.
