AGBU AND MOTHER SEE OF HOLY ETCHMIADZIN’S NORK CHILDREN CENTER STUDENTS IN MARSEILLE

Over a year ago AGBU Marseille Chairman Patrick Malakian and AGBU Nork Children’s Center planned a joint program dedicated to the Armenian Genocide Centennial, to take place in Marseilles. Their continuous hard work and join efforts resulted in the creation of a performance entitled “Eternity” with the participation of 59 performers, including students of the Nork Children’s Center, and their teachers. Participants of the performance, were the students of the “Haykazunq” song and dance ensemble and Gevorg Ginosyan Circus and Dance school, aged 6-22.

The performance was made possible by Grigor Khachatryan, Actor and Director of the Hrachya Ghaplanyan Yerevan Drama Theatre after Hrachya Ghaplanyan, Armen Julhakyan, Artistic Director of Nork Children’s Center dance school and Narek Dance Ensemble, as well as AGBU Marseille Chairman Patrick Malakian.

A group of 67 left for France on November 26th and returned to Armenia on December 1st. On November 28th, “Eternity” was performed at the Marseille Congress Center. The performance coincided with the tragic events in Paris and took on a second significance “No to Terrorism”.

Eternity received rave reviews both in Marseille and Yerevan.
