The Howard Karagheusian Association was established in 1921 in New York by Mihran and Zabel Karagheusians in memory of their beloved 14-year-old son. Mihran Karaguezian was an AGBU donor and the brother of Arshak Karagheusian, who was the AGBU President from 1942-1953. The Association has carried out healthcare, social and educational programs in Turkey, France, Greece, Syria and Lebanon and began operating in Armenia following the 1988 earthquake in Spitak.
