“EDUCATION IS A TREASURE, THE GREATEST WEAPON FOR A WOMAN” STATES HASMIK KHACHATRYAN, WHO WAS ABLE TO SAY NO TO VIOLENCE

 

One night three years ago after hard beating Hasmik Khatchatryan gathered her courage and ran away from home to save her life and stand up for her rights. A mother of two, Hasmik was married for nine years and was subjected to domestic violence by her husband throughout the entire period. Hasmik found care and support at the Women’s Support Center in Yerevan who helped her through her hospitalized treatments, divorce trials, and departure from native village, Gandzak in Geghargunik Marz.

ARTSAKH CELEBRATED 70TH ANNIVERSARY OF GEVORG MURADYAN, ARTISTIC DIRECTOR AND PRINCIPAL CONDUCTOR OF KARABAKH CHAMBER ORCHESTRA

 

On March 1, 2017, Ministry of Culture and Youth Affairs in Artsakh organized a concert dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Gevorg Muradyan, Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of Karabakh Chamber Orchestra (KCO). The event held at the Stepanakert Palace of Culture and Youth was attended by Ashot Ghulyan, President of the NKR National Assembly, Narine Aghabalyan, Minister of Culture of NKR, Slava Asryan, Minister of Education, Science and Sport of NKR, Suren Grigoryan, Mayor of Stepanakert.
