SENIOR DINING CENTERS

Since Armenia's independence, AGBU has sponsored Senior Dining Centers to provide daily meals to over 1,200 pensioners and orphans. Today, AGBU sponsors three facilities, which are adjacent to the Children's Centers, that provide ample portions to recipients who can take additional food home to share with family members and friends, and deliver meals to beneficiaries who cannot make it to the facilities.

VASKENIAN THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY

Established in 1993, the Vaskenian Theological Seminary, named in honor of the late Vasken I, Catholicos of All Armenians, of blessed memory, received a major grant from an AGBU donor for the construction of a 100-student dormitory and private chapel on the grounds of the Lake Sevan property. ST. NERSESS HOSPITAL

In 2001, AGBU purchased the 120-bed Proctology Hospital, which had for several years housed the AGBU-sponsored Reconstructive Surgery Center. Later that year, AGBU transferred the hospital to Holy Etchmiadzin in order to promote the Mother See's humanitarian mission. Made possible by the generosity of an AGBU donor, St. Nersess the Great Hospital is undergoing extensive renovation and modernization.

THE JOINT INITIATIVE OF AGBU YP YEREVAN AND ARMENIAN BLOGGERS IN KARABAKH

AGBU YP Yerevan and Armenian bloggers joint initiative began in Autumn 2010. The main goal of the program was to provide literature to the schools and libraries of Artsakh. Phase 1 of the project was successfully implemented in the public library of the town of Karvatjar and the schools of Nor Verin Shen and Yeghegnut villages. Previously announced fundraising and book collection raised 300,000 AMD and 1300 books.
